When I was 5, my cousin started calling me “Mibu.” My siblings and other cousins followed suit. And then my aunts, uncles and parents did, too.
To this day, my family still calls me “Mibu,” and I still answer to it. My cousin has no idea what prompted the name. We just know that it stuck.
