A new short film series called “Kindred: Vampire Tales” follows a vampire squad as they search for human victims in Los Angeles. The vampires are like a vampire mafia in that they use human victims as bait and then feast on them until they are transformed. Vampires are able to function in the daytime, and they often appear in random locations to lure in their victims. They attract the notice of investigators who want to put a stop to the Vampire mayhem by breaking up their fight club and vampire mafia group.
The investigator, the vampire killers, and the Priest form an alliance to take vengeance on the vampire family and put a stop to their bloody celebrations. Before the slayers put a stop to “Fangstown,” the vampire clan frequents nightclubs, cemeteries, churches, lounges, and after hours to initiate as many new members as possible. Take part in the excitement in October as we roar into the Halloween season with a “Fangtastic” chomp, so the producers say. In the “Fright Night: Fangstown” episode airing this Halloween season, vampires have taken over the city. The film is set in the present day in Los Angeles and will be filmed in a variety of locales. This is a short film of epic proportions about a vampire gang in the city that converts its victims by inviting them to their lair. They attempt to convert the hybrids (half human, half vampire) into full vamps, but are foiled by a hybrid detective on a mission to halt the insanity.
Carmilla
The iconic figure from the vampire mythology who has returned just in time for one last feeding frenzy. Carmilla seduces and transforms her victims one at a time, as the population becomes more concerned about their disappearance. As a result of her disagreements with the Count over blood feuds, Carmilla establishes her own vampire clan. Primary settings include a nightclub or bar, a church or cemetery, and a city street (actors will receive direction on set, be ready to do lots of improvisation acting throughout the film shoot day, and serve as a “fill-in” for the main character if needed).
Sorina
The life of the party who craves attention to fulfill her needs, she is the center of attention everywhere she goes. Sorina is an alluring vampiress who sometimes resurrects herself in order to go on a killing spree and to torment the people she has already killed. She is an integral part of the Vampire clan’s recruitment efforts and works closely with them. Primary settings include a nightclub or bar, a church or cemetery, and a city street (actors will receive direction on set, be ready to do lots of improvisation acting throughout the film shoot day, and serve as a “fill-in” for the main character if needed). Note that this part may need contact with special effects make-up, fake blood, gore, and vampire bite sequences; physical contact for planned action scenes involving vampire and victim bites or fights; and the application of make-up in the manner of a vampire.
Lead Vampires
A fabled class of vampire that has been brought back to life in present-day Los Angeles and is on the prowl for human blood. He gathers the members of his clan of vampires, and together they devise a strategy to seize control of the city and transform its inhabitants into vampires before it is too late. Lead Vampires are those that are able to both direct and take part in action sequences.
A young person who gets bit and then turns into a vampire. Star transforms into a ruthless Vampire who is capable of luring and transforming her victims into members of the Vampire underworld. Primary settings include a nightclub or bar, a church or cemetery, and a city street (actors will receive direction on set, be ready to do lots of improvisation acting throughout the film shoot day, and serve as a “fill-in” for the main character if needed).
A patron of a club who is afterwards transformed into a vampire. She gets caught up in reminiscing about her first love and has a hard time moving on from the go-go dancer life she used to lead. Primary settings include a nightclub or bar, a church or cemetery, and a city street. (actors should be prepared to take direction while on location, execute a significant amount of improvised acting during the course of each filming day, and be ready to step in as a “fill-in” for the lead role if necessary).
Richie
Alongside his colleague Jack, a male investigator who works to put a halt to the Vampire clan’s activities. Richie ends up falling prey to the Vampire clan, and as a result, he is initiated into their ranks with his other victims.
Pries
The head of the police department’s investigative team who arrives at the site with the intention of examining the town’s Vampire population. He takes on the whole Vampire family by himself and forms an alliance with the Priest in order to discover how to permanently eliminate the vampires from the world. On the other hand, he discovers that there are more vampires than he had first thought, and he must decide whether or not he should join them in order to prevail against them.
Half human and half vampire
Manages a chapel that serves as a safe haven for those who have escaped the vampire underworld. It comes to his attention that one of them was a hybrid that was half human and half vampire. His church is now under attack by vampires, who are attempting to take back control of the situation. It is imperative that he resume his old vocation as a vampire slayer in order to save the world from the mayhem caused by vampires.
