Frederick Anderson’s 10th Anniversary Blue Jacket Fashion Show delivered a night to remember on World Cancer Day, bringing together fashion, advocacy, and star power in New York City for a milestone event with real purpose—and one unforgettable runway moment.

The evening opened with remarks from Don Lemon, who spoke about the importance of freedom of speech and independent journalism before shifting focus to the mission at the heart of the night: raising awareness for prostate cancer and the lifesaving importance of early detection. His words set an intentional tone for a runway that celebrated ten years of impact under Anderson’s visionary leadership.

While the celebrity-filled show featured an impressive lineup—including Bill Nye, Mario Cantone, Chris Noth, Ja Rule, and Jesse Solomon—the undeniable highlight of the night came when actor Eric West stepped onto the runway. As Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra” filled the room, West’s entrance instantly changed the energy. The applause was deafening. Screams echoed from every corner of the venue. Some guests rose from their seats, some standing in disbelief as he made his way down the runway to one of the loudest reactions of the evening.

It was a rare, electric moment—the kind that feels bigger than fashion. The room buzzed with the sense that something special was happening, as if attendees were witnessing the arrival of a future superstar in real time. For many, it felt like a long-awaited breakthrough moment for West, met with a level of excitement usually reserved for icons.

The front row reflected the event’s wide cultural reach, with Neil Patrick Harris, Kelly Bensimon, Orfeh, Samuel Mancini and an influential mix of entertainment, fashion, and media leaders in attendance, reinforcing the show’s status as both a high-profile fashion moment and a meaningful platform for change.

Proceeds from the evening benefit organizations including ZERO Prostate Cancer, Man Cave Health, and LISC, along with healthcare partner Northwell Health, supporting education, early detection, and expanded access to critical community health resources nationwide.

Founded by Frederick Anderson to use fashion as a catalyst for conversation and impact, the Blue Jacket Fashion Show has grown into a nationally recognized movement. This 10th anniversary not only honored a decade of advocacy but also reminded guests why visibility, community, and star-powered storytelling continue to matter in the fight against prostate cancer.

Following the runway, guests gathered for a celebratory cocktail reception with music by DJ Bowie Jane, ending the night on a high—one defined by purpose, connection, and a moment that people will be talking about long after the lights went down.
